Out of practice

To counter my gun anger over the previous post, I went to the range last night after work.  I haven’t been shooting in almost 5 months now due to my rotator cuff damage.  I have only recently been able to hold my arm out at shoulder height without pain, something I pretty much need to do to shoot, so I haven’t been going.

Let’s just say that it is a good thing that the targets are about 24″ x 36″ in size.  It’s bad enough that with my bad eyes (even with my contacts) that I can see either the gun sights or the target clearly, but not both.  With the lack of strength in my shoulder and just being rustyI consider myself fortunate to have hit paper.  I had to stop after a box because the shoulder was just too fatigued to keep going. I am glad for the range of motion, now I just need to get the strength back.
